Teaching the Civil War Through Technology & Cognition Across the Curriculum!

Abstract: Innovative interdisciplinary strategies and activities for teaching the Civil War using Internet based lessons and high level cognitive thinking activities. This session provides challenging technology based activities to engage students in active learning. Techniques and principles of these activities may also be applied across the curriculum. Free materials will be provided.

The Tech-10: Principles, Strategies, and Real Classroom Anecdotes for the Effective use of Technology in the Classroom for the 21st Century Student!   Where: Please join us at the Ohio Middle School Association annual conference in Cleveland, Ohio to be held at the Renaissance Cleveland Hotel February 22nd - 23rd, 2007.   When: TBA   Abstract: How can we as educators use that technology to its greatest benefit to improve the performance of our students? In this session, we will provide you with 10 classroom-tested principles and strategies that will utilize the technology that you already have to its greatest potential.
